Pamela Cordes is a 30-year-veteran of the media business. Her experience includes more than 25 years as a prize-winning
reporter, ten-years as the first full-time women crime reporter for a New York Daily newspaper and weekly newspaper chains.
She worked for more than 15 of those years as a general assignment reporter with an emphasis on government, crime, and
education in New York City, Arizona, Texas and Long Island.
Cordes is a former Congressional Press Secretary and has set up and executed press conferences for members of presidential
cabinets. Cordes founded CPR, Cordes Public Relations in 1995 and has represented and executed public relations
campaigns for colleges, law firms, university studies, the electronics, manufacturing, food and automotive industries
as well as "down-town" business districts. CPR also produces media guides for the Society of Professional
Journalists/Press Club of Long Island/Society of Professional Journalists/New Jersey Press Association/NY Deadline
Club and Connecticut Press Association. CPR is currently assisting SPJ, Region One and Region Five in fundraising programs.
CPR plans to publish additional media guides for SPJ in mid-west SPJ regions next year.
